No cycling event delivers the satisfaction of the Red Sky Ride. This is the toughest endurance ride in WA.
As a rider, you will be part of a unique team, cycling 1000 kilometres through the South West.
Like anything worthwhile it requires effort and the Red Sky Ride Team are there to support you all the way. In the lead up to the event, you and your fellow riders will work together, sharing the challenges and successes of training and fundraising for a cause that touches so many lives.
Your fellow riders will encourage and offer you invaluable advice covering all aspects of undertaking this endurance event. You will learn to pedal smart, eat well, stay safe and have fun but nothing will prepare you for the comradery of this experience.
Acknowledged as one of toughest, well organised and safest cycling events in WA, the Red Sky Ride endeavours to fully meet all riders’ needs.
As you cycle from Albany through the picturesque South West, the value and effectiveness of your pre-ride training schedule will really come into its own. You will cycle in a fully supported peloton with experienced ride captains and road crew. All of your kit, accommodation and catering will be provided.* The accompanying support team consists of health professionals, masseuses, bike mechanic, drivers and photographers.
Some days may be tough, physically and mentally draining but each passing kilometre will deliver a powerful feeling of pride, satisfaction, friendship and achievement.
*Excludes single stage participants
The conclusion of the ride will be celebrated with family, friends, and supporters in Perth. This will be a time to reflect, congratulate and revel in this ultimate achievement.
At the Red Sky Ride Appreciation evening, your achievement will be recorded in a beautiful coffee table style photo book, a perfect memento of your feat.
Enjoy this opportunity to catch up, be formally welcomed into the elite alumni of Red Sky Riders and recognise the incredible impact you and your fellow riders have made to the lives of West Australians living with cancer.
